PPC Ad Editor (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides an ad mockup and preview platform for PPC professionals. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our website and services at ppcadeditor.com.

Data We Collect

We collect different types of information to provide and improve our services:

Account Information

• Name and email address when you create an account
• Payment information (processed securely by Stripe)
• Company or agency name (optional)

Usage Information

• How you interact with PPC Ad Editor features
• Browser type, device information, and IP address
• Pages visited and time spent on the platform

Communications

• Support tickets and email correspondence
• Feedback and feature requests you submit

Your Ad Content

When you use PPC Ad Editor, you create ad mockups containing headlines, descriptions, images, logos, and other creative assets. This content is:

• Stored securely to power your previews and exports
• Never shared with advertisers, platforms, or third parties
• Never used to train AI models or for any purpose beyond your use
• Deleted when you remove campaigns or close your account

Your client names, campaign strategies, and ad copy are confidential. We treat your data as if it were our own competitive intelligence—because we understand how valuable it is.

AI Assistant Connector (Claude and ChatGPT)

You can connect PPC Ad Editor to an AI assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT through our MCP connector at https://studio.ppcadeditor.com/api/mcp/preview (the same tool is also available at /api/mcp). The assistant can then call our preview_ad tool to show an ad mockup in your chat. No account or sign-in is needed for that. This section covers what the connector receives and keeps. What the connector receives

• The ad the assistant writes: headlines, descriptions and other ad text, the landing page URL and display paths, the business name, links to images, logos or videos, ad extensions such as sitelinks, callouts and a phone number, and an optional ad name
• Which assistant made the call (for example Claude or ChatGPT), read from the request's user agent
• The IP address the request comes from. For Claude and ChatGPT this is normally the assistant provider's server, not your device
• ChatGPT only: the anonymized user ID ChatGPT attaches to tool calls for rate limiting. Claude sends no user ID

We only receive the details of each tool call. We do not receive or request your conversation, chat history, memory or uploaded files, and the connector never asks for your name or email address.

What we keep, and for how long

• Preview draft, 7 days: the ad content and assistant name are kept in our Redis cache so the “Save & share” link works. The draft is deleted automatically after 7 days. It is not written to our database, and no images are generated for it or saved to our storage
• Rate-limit counters, up to 24 hours: short counters keyed by the calling IP address that expire within an hour, and daily counters keyed by a one-way hash (SHA-256) of that IP address and, for ChatGPT, of ChatGPT's anonymized user ID. The daily counters expire after 24 hours
• Usage analytics: one PostHog event per preview with the ad format, the assistant, and whether a save link was offered. It is tied to a pseudonymous ID built from those hashes, never to your name or email address
• Request logs, up to 30 days: our hosting provider (Vercel) logs each request, including the calling IP address. If a request fails, the error report sent to Sentry carries the hashed IP address only

Images in the preview

The connector does not generate images. If the assistant includes links to images, your chat app loads images hosted on ppcadeditor.com or YouTube directly. For an image on any other website, our servers fetch that HTTPS image so the preview can display it, so that website sees a request from our servers instead of from your device. We fetch only public internet addresses, and only when the preview shows the image. We do not save the file to our database or storage. Our hosting provider (Vercel) may cache it until the preview link expires, at most 7 days. If an image cannot be fetched, the preview shows a placeholder.

When you save a preview

“Save & share” opens studio.ppcadeditor.com in your browser. Nothing is saved to an account until you sign in or create one and confirm the save. From then on the ad is account data, covered by the rest of this policy. The save link works for 7 days. Anyone who has it can save a copy into their own account, so share it only with people you trust.

Your choices

You can remove the connector from your assistant's settings at any time. To ask us to delete a draft before it expires, email privacy@ppcadeditor.com with the save link. Data the assistant provider keeps about your chat is covered by that provider's own privacy policy.

How We Use Data

We use the information we collect to:

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information:

• Encryption in transit – All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS
• Encryption at rest – Database and file storage are encrypted
• Access controls – Only authorized team members can access systems
• Regular backups – Your data is backed up with geographic redundancy
• Security monitoring – We monitor for suspicious activity 24/7

Our infrastructure is hosted on trusted providers (Vercel, Neon, Cloudflare) with enterprise-grade security.

Data Retention

We retain your data according to these principles:

• Active accounts: Data is retained while your account is active
• Deleted content: Removed from live systems within 30 days
• Closed accounts: Account data deleted within 90 days
• Backups: Purged from backup systems within 6 months
• Legal requirements: Some data may be retained longer if required by law

You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us or closing your account.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access – Request a copy of your personal data
• Correction – Update inaccurate or incomplete data
• Deletion – Request deletion of your data
• Portability – Export your data in a machine-readable format
• Objection – Opt out of certain data processing activities
• Restriction – Limit how we process your data

• Send an email notification to account holders
• Display a notice in the PPC Ad Editor dashboard

We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of our service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
